Build CREAM with Maven

Maven user setup

The user setting file for maven, usually located at $HOME/.m2/settings.xml must contain the following definitions:

<settings xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/SETTINGS/1.0.0"
                 xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/SETTINGS/1.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/settings-1.0.0.xsd">
            <name>CREAM releases</name>

          <!-- voms-api-java 2.0.x repo -->
            <name>CNAF releases</name>
          <!-- argus-pep-common and argus-parent repo -->
            <name>SWITCH releases</name>





The missing host, user and password depend on the configuration of the development workarea and are communicated by the site admin. The supported active profiles are:

  • SL5_x86_64
  • SL6_x86_64

The external dependencies are selected according to chosen profile.

RPM from maven

Binary and source RPMs can be created specifying the property rpm.repackaging in the command line:

mvn -Drpm.repackaging=true install

The artifacts are stored in the directory target/rpmbuild.
