CMS requirements for VOMS generic attributes

The basic CMS requirement is the ability to associate a nickname to each user. All these possibilities should be foreseen:

  • the nickname is chosen by the user and an approval from the VO manager may be required
  • the user can request via VOMRS a change of the nickname, and an approval from the VO manager may be required
  • the value of the nickname should be visible only by the user and the VO manager via VOMS web interface or VOMRS.

In future, CMS could take advantage of the concept of attributes related to groups/roles.
