Voms REPLICATION testing @ CNAF

Replication setup

Two oracle databases synchronized using the streams tecnology, across the two db servers VOMSDB1(MASTER) and VOMSDB2 (SLAVE). Connection details are in the tnsnames.ora file.

One VO is deployed, test_replication1. VOMS-Admin (on testbed008) is here. voms on testbed008 listens on port 55001. Contact info in the vomses.

DB Login information

• username: voms_replication1
• password = pwdvoms1

This login works on VOMSDB1 and VOMSDB2.

• Replicated DBs accessible.
• VOMSDB1 gets populated with fake users.

13/7/7

• Changes made to VOMSDB1 are not propagated to VOMSDB2. Proof in the attached log file. Waiting for feedback from the oracle group.

• Capture and propagation frequencies for the oracle streams were incorrectly configured so the updates weren't noticeable. Barbara fixed the configuration and now it looks replication is working fine.
